Perpetual Calendar
 |
This clock is
equipped with a perpetual calendar. Without further intervention,
the calendar is self-adjusting when the month is less than
thirty-one days. It will also be discovered that in the event of
Leap Year, this calendar will become correct on its own accord.
Setting the Day of the week.
To change the day of the week, lift the lead trip weight behind
the bottom of the calendar dial and release. This will advance the
weekday one day. Continue lifting and releasing the weight until
the correct day (Mon.,Tues., Wed., etc.) is shown in the left hand
window.
Setting the Date and Month.
To set the date and month, locate the lift wire underneath the
18th of the dial. Push the wire up and while holding it in the up
position, rotate the calendar hand around the dial until the
correct Date and Month is displayed. One must rotate the hand
completely around the dial, passing the 31st for the calendar to
change to the next month. Continue this action until the Date and
Month is correct.
* Damage to the calendar mechanism will result if
improperly adjusted or if the hand is turned backwards! |
