To
set the calendar, do not adjust the time, but pull down the button
beneath the left bottom of the dial and hold. Turn the red hand
until the correct month is shown through the aperture; (this could
require many revolutions of the hand around the dial), and then to
within one day of the correct date.
Next
turn the minute hand clockwise and continue turning the minute
hand until the red calendar hand advances to the next day,
(between 12:00 midnight and 3:00 a.m. This may be a full 48 hours
beyond the original setting). The clock will now be adjusted to
the correct date and the time will be shown as a.m.
Set the clock to the correct time, always by turning the minute
forward but never by the hour hand.
Synchronizing the strike. It will be noticed that the strike is
not correct to the time. To correct the strike to the time
displayed, lift the strike release wire once and let go. The clock
will strike the next half hour. Continue lifting and releasing the
release wire, allowing the clock to strike the time fully until
the strike is correct with the hands.
